This report highlights the findings from two recent collaborative, community-engaged studies conducted by the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford School of Medicine, that found that parents reported a number of barriers that prevented them from supporting their child’s readiness for school and wanted their child’s pediatrician to help make the connection between child development, early learning and later school success.
